What is that charge on my credit card? ›

The easiest way to check your credit card's transaction history is by logging in to your online account through the issuer's website. This way, you will be able to see your past transactions, including the date each transaction took place, the name of the merchant that charged it and the amount.

In the context of credit card transactions, merchants are assigned unique identifiers, often in the form of codes, to streamline payment processing. The 402-935-7733 code specifically identifies PayPal as the payment processor for the transaction.

You may also see this phone number, which is a phone number associated with PayPal Customer Service, if the merchant you're shopping with uses PayPal as their credit card processor. Check your account statement with your most recent PayPal activity.

Every ACH transaction has two Trace IDs, including one for the source and one for the destination. You should be able to find these ACH transaction trace numbers listed in your online banking or payment account, listed under a heading such as 'transaction details'. Contact the bank.

How do you find out if a number is spam? ›

One way to check if a number is potentially a scam is to use a reverse phone number lookup service. These websites and apps allow you to enter a number and see public information associated with it, such as the registered name, location, and carrier.

Go to the Reports section of your PayPal account. Click Activity Download from the menu. IMPORTANT: Press the Search button in the top right corner (magnifying glass icon). Click on the "Transaction type" button and select Fees from the drop-down menu.

In most cases the $1.00 is an authorization and not a charge. It is used to verify the card information and in most cases is voided seconds after it is authorized. Note that banks do not have to process the void immediately and so sometimes the void is not processed for a few days.
